Smoking in London

I'm off to London tomorrow, my band is on the Cavalry Memorial Parade in Hyde Park. After the parade we nomrally stick around for an hour or 2 so people can catch up with friends in other bands/units, so I'm off for a smoke somewhere. I need somewhere with a sheltered and comfortable smoking area that's within an easy walk of Hyde Park...the barracks at Hyde Park to be precise, which I believe is on South Carriage Drive, although I could be wrong...I've just figured that out from a satellite image on google maps!

Any suggestions? I had thought about just sitting in the park with a fatty, but it doesn't look like the weather's going to be up to it!

Hmmm, very close indeed, just round the corner in fact. What are their bar prices like? I know nowhere in London is what I'd call reasonable...but that place really does look expensive!

You could walk to Manchester St in 15 mins smoke your own in there.

I realise this must be quite a daft question to some of you I usually avoid London like the plague, but as I have to go with work tomorrow, I may as well kill some time smoking! For the ease of things, as it's getting on now and I'm leaving at 5 am , I think I'll just find a pub with a sheltered beer garden

Chris it's No 10 Manc St has a good outdoor smoking area, but if your around town wander down St James St ie turn right pass the Ritz and you have got JJ Fox's and Davidoffs, not sure they'll be open though. Still great window shopping and you will not be too far from a descent pub.

Didn't end up smoking after all. Was in far too foul a mood to have enjoyed it. Going to chill this evening and maybe have a smoke if my mood lightens enough.
