  • Moreton White Hart Inn

Last night I met with an old friend ? deciding to take an impromptu drive through the Essex country side ? I thought that a visit to the Moreton White Hart Inn would be a great idea as it is one of Hunters and Frankau?s Comfortable Outdoor Smoking Areas and is also recommended by Snooky on this very board.

Well ? we arrive and wow ? what a great little pub. We parked up in a well kept, modern looking car park, walked around to the front of the building and entered. The bar staff were extremely friendly and the place was extremely pleasant on the eye.

We ordered drinks, and my friend ordered some food, and we moved through the pub to sit in the outside area. There was a pub quiz on going outside, however we managed to find a seat.

After our lighting up, we surveyed the place; we would definitely be coming again. The outside area, though not the warmest I?ve been to, was well protected from the sides and from the above and warmed with infra red heaters dotted through out. The seating area was comfortable, the staff were friendly and the service was great. There is even a pool in this external area, which looks in great condition and it would be great to once again play a game of pool or two with a cigar.

The White Hart Inn will be receiving my custom again ? for sure.

Glad you enjoyed the White Hart , Jimmeh . You just missed out on the beer festival at the weekend. pm me for my mobile anytime you fancy a drink there.
Soon they will be coverting upstairs into B&B rooms so a truly great herf venue. I know they have a couple of infra-red lamps out, very soon to be replaced. Also keep a small selection of tubed cigars provided by our sponsors.
ps Carlos Torano was the last cigar i had there, they must be getting used to the smell.

Yea - drop me a PM with your no. in and ill let you know next time i am passing!

I saw the tubos - a few bolivar, a few monte and a number of punch.

Great place to smoke and it looks like they are going to actively improve it - great stuff. I wonder what their rates will be for over night. I would imagine that being in the middle of nowhere they may be reasonable, but it is a nice place..... I dunno?
