I just noticed that a couple of cigars in the top drawer of my cabinet has been hit by mold, the majority is at the foot.
I have removed them from the tray, taken the remaining cigars which looked ok out an isolated them in a spare desktop humi.
Removed the said tray and wiped it out with a damp cloth and left it out of the cabinet.
The rest of the trays look ok, but I will keep a very close eye on them for the next week or two.
I havent had any humidity problems and they have been kept at a constant 67-69%RH for a while now, had some problems with temp which I've struggled with even without the heating on in that room it's still been at 71-73
Whats the best thing to do with tray and maybe the cabinet?
I just read an article about using Isopropyl Alcohol to very lightly wipe over any cigars and the tray to kill any spores, although I'm not convinced yet about that method.
Any ideas?
