When I smoke a good cigar, I'm appreciating it and enjoying all of the subtleties that it presents at that moment. When I'm drinking a nice ale, I appreciate its hops and wonder what was used to make it. When I'm drinking a lovely single-barrel whisky, Im contemplating it's virtues and lost in the moment.

If these be vices, then bring them on. While greater minds have been quoted, I wouldn't trust a man without a few vices.
      What would Lemmy do?

Gave up booze and drugs 13 years ago( with a little help from those kind folk at the priory). Gave up cigarettes 6 years ago.

Had my first cigar in June, last year and I'm as addicted as feck!!!

        Sorry...the cubans and the porn...THEY STAY !!!

I only ever drink at the weekends but it's a big part of my wind down.....I reckon I could live without the cigars but not the booze....if I was really pushed to give one up......I sound like an alky....

I drink very little. I have no real taste for it, and I have a great sense of caution about losing self-control due to it. I'm the son of a circus ring alcoholic. Hence the caution. I could give up alcohol really easily and not miss it. I spend months even now without an alcoholic drink.

I'm too locked into cigar enjoyment to give cigar smoking up. I've given up before and have been drawn back to the humidor by the rich aroma of another person's wonderful cigar.

I don't smoke an excessive number of cigars but if I was told I HAD TO give cigar smoking up - say for health reasons - then I know I could summon up the willpower to do it.

I would miss the peace and subtlety of cigar smoking like hell, though.
