  • My Cohiba Seleccion Piramides ....

I know Deano has a set of these. Mine are packed with the 5 cigars cellophaned and a humidifier unit set at the back of the box. I don't know when or if ever I'll get round to smoking these; so, is it a good idea to get the cello off (they would certainly look better for that) and to try and refresh the humidifier sponge, although without pulling the box apart I'm not quite sure how that works.

I presently keep the set matchstick under lid stored in the tup.

I wouldn't bother if they're already in a humidifier tup mate. But I'd personally take the cello off.

Normally I would say take any cello or plastic off and just stick them straight in the humidor, but I've actual heard a number of comments saying the boxes these came in made the cigars taste overly cedary. If that is the case for yours, I would take them out of the box and place them directly in my humidor. It's been a while since I tasted any of these, but iirc they were cedar dominated, but it wasn't horrible.

I'd definately keep them in the box. What about a picture?

I had the Robusto selection Tip and the humi unit in them is no more than some recycled sponge in that little case. Pretty useless I reckon. From memory, it pulls out and apart quite easily though, if you want a play.

Dunno .... might be something they've done to keep the aromas from mixing.

I had a few of these packs and Both the Robustos and the Piramides were tainted with too much Ceder when smoked (IMO), so the others I had, I removed from the box and put them in the singles drawer.
Maybe they are not all the same but just sharing my experince

Yeah that seems to have been a common experience. Also, don't bother humidifying the sponge if the box is already in your humidor. It's not gonna help much and if anything it can just cause mold.
