  • Been following Robustos Reviews .....

which for a beginner like myself are informative and fascinating. But, what does 'gets hot towards the end' mean.
If you want to, you can.
And, if you can, you must!

I prefer robustos and Toros and some times... while at the last inches the temperature of the smoke rise...

Oh right ... got it now. I thought it might be something that you experience through your fingers.

Well it can be both! I'm not sure why it happens but I think it's the fatter gauge, you have to slow down the frequency of your puffs otherwise it overheats and you just get 'burnt' flavour.

          Hi Tippex,

I am glad to hear you are enjoying the reviews. You can tell when a cigar gets hot with either your lips, your fingers but most important your taste. Near the end, apart from burning your fingertips and your lips, a cigar can get extremely spicy and harsh. Thats when a cigar is "too hot" for me.

Often you will find cigars that even though they would be hot on your lips and fingers, it would still taste great and you ll want to smoke it right to the end, until you get blisters!

The first one that will be coming into my mind is the Bolivar Belicoso Fino.

Why is it that some cigars suffer more than others for this?
