I get every US cigar catalog and drool over most of the offerings (the descriptions sound so wonderful), sometimes giving in to temptation and ordering what I just know will be the best cigar I've ever smoked.
But that's not what I wanted to talk to you about.
You BOTL UKCF members who are just starting out in this wonderful activity may be interested in a deal I ran across from Best Cigar Prices, a major cigar retailer here in the States.
You get 15 "world class" cigars (highly arguable), a decent 25-count humidor with humidifier and el cheapo analog hygrometer, humidifier solution, a cigar tube, guillotine cutter, torch lighter, and a nice-looking burl ashtray for $90 USD, a little less than ?55 sterling moss in your money.
I called and found out that they do ship to the UK, but since it so expensive, it is only cost-effective for them on orders over $250 USD.
Please note: I have no affiliation with Best Cigar Prices. I don't receive a commission, bonus, credit, or a three-legged llama. I just looked at this package and thought that if I were starting out as a cigar aficionado and all I had was an old tupperware container and a plastic cutter, I would jump on this deal like a tuna on a tiger.
If there aren't three or more of you newbies out there who might be interested in collaborating on a deal, I will volunteer (when will I ever learn?) to act as middleman for 1 or 2 of you, noting that this remarkable $90 offering will be substantially increased by (I'm guessing) about $40+ additional for shipping. In my mind, still a pretty good deal.
