Pricing woes

I caught this interesting pricing scale on a web site in cyberspace and wonder if anyone else has come across similar pricing anomalies.

JL #2 - Box of 25 is $166
Box of 50 is $333

Why is it $1 more to get a box of 50 than it is to buy 2 boxes of 25? If anything the extra materials and shipping for 2 boxes should make them more expensive than one big box. Anyone else find this a bit silly or even worth discussing?

Often see this kind of thing. Always check the multiple quantity prices, they are not always better... and sometimes only by a very small amount.
