Alan...glad to see you've received from it...a few friends have had it and been hospitalised but have come out good from it...but some elder distant relative haven't been so fortunate.
Thanks Shamz. I have also heard of others not so fortunate. I have heard a friend of a friend who died the other day. 30 year old guy with 2 kids and seemingly healthy died with it. It can get anyone, although it obviously helps if age is on your side.
Glad to hear that you have recovered Al. A school friend, also Alan died on Tuesday morning from it after 5 days on a ventilator. This death brought it home to me that the risk is high and very real. Stay safe everyone.

Thanks mate. Im sure that there are a lot of people struggling at the moment. Its a time where we all need to come together and have compassion for our fellow human beings.
Ive found out today my gran has only a few weeks at best to live. Both my grandparents need hospital beds and ive spent today trying to get them sorted. Unfortunately carers are in short supply do we are trying our best amongst the family to get things done. Our grandparents dont know why we have to keep our distance so it is all a bit heartbreaking. My grandad says we dont love him anymore. He doesn't understand we have to keep our distance for his own good. This virus doesn't just kill people, it tears people apart. My mother is suicidal and in constant need of reassurance.
Luckily my income is not in doubt for the moment. I cant imagine struggling with cash and deciding whether to buy food or pay for care. The council are so overloaded they cant do anything. We cant get the equipment we need unless we pay privately even though they are eligible because they cant send an assessor out to them. We've been waiting months now. Ive just bit the bullet and paid on my credit card today.

Tough gig for you buddy but you?ve done the absolute best thing you possibly could have. Keep safe
Although they are morally correct I am still appalled at the number of people happy to report their neighbours for each and every little breach of the Covid Regs.

All feeling a bit soviet to me
If you?ve an issue with someone have a word with them!
Sad to hear your news Al. Best wishes to you and your family.
There does seem to be a number of types people fall into during this crisis.
1. Those that have got up and are helping others whilst sensibly taking precautions
2. Those that see every opportunity to moan about everyone else without doing anything them selves
3. Those that get on looking after themselves and family
4. Those that think it's all a conspiracy or con and think only of themselves
I'm sure there are others but it has shown up some very nice and some very selfish people.
Stay safe all.

We have people reporting Covid breaches even when they don't know there is anyone extra there! Although, with the number of petty neighbour disputes for we get it shouldn't be too surprising
Saying that, we did have one COVID19 report a couple of weeks ago which led us to finding a cannabis cultivation in a spare room!

Good result. Yes I have noticed a lot of ongoing anti-social behaviour is being regurgitated as Covid related. The public seem to forget that we have all their previous call history. Don't forget Sean that for every call you get lumbered with we've taken ten and knocked the rest on the head.
I loved the story in the press up North where police were called to a street party and the whole street were out in their front gardens socially distancing and having a good time. The officers wished them a good time and correctly left.

Obviously call from the one sour puss in the street who didn't want to join in then
I was amazed to see the little green directly opposite the police station by me was absolutely rammed with families sunbathing yesterday! Not sure if it was cause the station had closed for lunch or if they just don?t care

What you need to remember is there is still the normal crime out there, as much as corona virus is in the news currently the simple fact is there are bigger emergencies for us to go to, I don't think anyone in their right mind would suggest police should be out managing social distancing rather than crimes in progress or where people are in immediate danger
The rules also make it very difficult to manage - although sunbathing is clearly against the guidance, people are still allowed to be out and about... in simplistic terms it would basically take the same Officer three stops on the same person before they would run out of excuses (I'm shopping/I'm exercising)

I completely get that and by not care I meant the public not the police there, you would have thought the sight of the police station would put most off!
