Any ideas? (Ooze)

Had a 1990 this afternoon that was extremely bitter. Very bad taste. Then the "ooze" started. Any ideas as to what it is?

It’s tar as Daniel says. I’ve only had this once from when I tried smoking a Trini Reyes by twisting the pigtail, after the tar built up I cut it (guillotine) and had no more issues.

I had it when I smoked an old Cuban cigar, but not on the scale as that

I’ve experienced this a couple of times, both using puncher and cutter. Common denominator for me: very young cigar.
