Smoking Indoors

So, with the turn in the weather (hopefully not for too long) and a need to 'clear' some humidor space for some incoming sticks, I'm becoming tempted to give it a go in my conservatory.

Its separated from the house by a fairly substantial double door, so I cant see any smoke/odour getting into the living room. Tiled floor and brick/glass all around. The only 'soft' furnishings are a small armchair, the vertical blinds, and a rug on the floor.

Does anyone else have a similar set up they use? And can let me know how 'fresh' it stays. I'm probably going to give it a go with everything wide open, and then see how it is after. Just wondering if it's a long term solution for occasional-semi regular use.

That's what I'm considering... But I'm going to try it in my conservatory tonight, then see how the smell is tomorrow. Fingers crossed I can get away with it once every week or so

The biggest problem I think you?ll have is the tobacco discolouring your walls/blinds.

My mum was the only cigarette smoker in our house growing up and she would only smoke in the kitchen with the door shut to the rest of the house and a window open. The ceiling and walls used to be really badly stained and you can really notice the smell when you walk from a part of the house with no smoke to an area which has been smoked in.

I've given up smoking cigarettes fairly recently, so I'm hoping my sense of smell will be able to pick up on anything that lingers. I wouldnt have thought I'd be smoking enough to stain anything. Can't see it being comparable to the relatively consistent smoking that a cigarette smoker would be doing indoors.

Unless it will still take affect? I'm not sure lol

Hmm... That's an interesting point!

Although cigarettes seem to give off a hell of a lot of smoke, compared to cigars which just kinda 'smoulder'. But then the smoke we 'exhale' is thicker...

I smoke in conservatory year round, got a double glazed door to kitchen which stays shut and leave outside doors open.

It seemed to work alright for me, certainly for an occasional thing. No smell went into the house, and you wouldnt know it had been smoked in today.

I think with the door and windows open, theres enough ventilation and not enough for the smoke to stick to.

Would think it's fine for weekly use, daily would be pushing it but frankly depends on what your wife/partner is prepared to put up with. Some will tolerate a faint whiff, others less so.

What other half... [emoji106] I'm free in that respect [emoji14] so yeah just gonna continue it every now and again whenever the weather isnt playing ball and I fancy a smoke. See how it goes, but a shed may be the best call long term

I smoke indoors. I only smoke one a day usually and many days not at all, but I never think twice. The house doesn't smell of cigars aftrr about a day so it's never bothered me.

That's good to know. I'm going to try not to let it become a habit and use the garden as much as possible, but I'm probably going to be tempted through the winter lol.
