I had a rough week a couple of weeks ago.
Added to which, no smoking or drinking possible.
The whole week, there was just one smoke I wanted.
There was one smoke I craved.
Was it a Cohiba? An LE? An EL? A rare NC?
Nope.
None of them.
When I finally got home and was able to take a breath and head for the shed, it was a lowly JLP that accompanied me.
It was not a pretty stick my any stretch of the imagination.
In fact, it looked a lot like a guantanamera had been swallowed and then shit out whole.
To call it ugly was an insult to ugly.
And yet, it was the most sublime, magnificent smoke I have had in many a month.
Now partly, that was because I was relaxed - BUT - it's also because they're just a really, really good smoke when they have a bit of age on them.
ROTT they're rough as a badger's arse. Give them a bit of time though and you'll be well rewarded.
I can highly recommend picking up a box, or a few fivers and then putting them away and forgetting about them.
They're cheap as chips, so it's not a massive investment in cash - but if you can invest the time, you'll get smoking value back ten times what you've spent....
Happy smoking!
