Just a word to the wise, we are skating on thin ice discussing getting other people to bring back cigars for us, that's actually against the law. Go for a day or overnight trip to Geneva or Spain & bring them back yourself.

A day trip to Geneva out of Gatwick with squeezy jet can be had for under ?50 so no need to worry about accommodation. With 6 hours on the ground there's ample time to get down town do your shopping, have a beer and get back to the airport.

I’m not sure giving people money to buy them for you constitutes a gift. I’m

It doesn’t, it’s plainly not a gift. Fact is, somebody has paid you to get them the products.

So if we don't support the UK retailers, and they go under, then who is left to fight for our rights to have a cigar or three with Big Brother?

Your right, we need more importers to help keep bring the price down so more of us buy from them helping everyone prosper but as PeeJay says its not us keeping them in business lol

But cigars like the regius half corona show we can get good prices in the UK

Go to Madrid for the weekend or even the day. Go a Thursday or Tuesday 70? flight and other 30 getting to Gatwick. Buy 2000? and eat for 20?....so 2200 later you have 200 cigars. I would buy online and live with the risk every 250?. INMO

Tax should be on quantity smoked by an individual, not on everyone even those who smoke one a week!

Technically those who smoke more already pay more tax as it is based on weight. Tax is not the problem, with our taxes prices similar to Germany should be possible. Its H+F and the retailers milking us.
