Alright, what cigar related trivia do we have here, something thats personal to you during your time being a BOTL?


- My first cigar I absolutely demlolished because I couldnt light it properly and I got annoyed. Literally threw it as far as I could.

- I check my humi everyday, like a pet or a baby or something

- I rub my hands when I look thru my humis glass top, mmm smokes!

- I'm not really that fussed about Cohiba, Ive had a few and they've been great, but I like to explore brands and the NC market more, I dont live or die by em.

I like exploring brands but I do notice that I am getting fussier and fussier. The two brands I most like (of the ones I have tried) at the moment are Cohiba and Hoyo de Monterray. I have yet to try a Cuaba I have in my humidor, the Gloriosos I got from Simon and my cabinet box of Bolivar Bellicosos are settling at the moment. But I check the humidors every day too.

I don't know how this thread is trivia, but I have to add my first cigar experience since I too demolished mine. I had recently quit smoking cigarettes and was visiting a casino in Vegas to see a friend defend his title in the IFL. I bought a couple of cigars for the evening and completely forgot to get a cutter. I had no idea what cigars I bought, they just seemed good because they were expensive, and I had no idea that there were other ways to open the end of a cigar, such as poking a hole with a toothpick. i thought i had to have a cutter. Anyway, who knew that Caesar's Palace would not have any cigar cutting supplies? I must've walked around with this cigar for an hour, and I was starting to crave nicotine (having just quit cigarettes, you see). So finally I decided to try to bite the end off, like in the old western movies. That fucked it up completely. I settled for a $10 pack of cigarettes that night. And my friend lost the fight.

My first CC was in the Shelbourne Hotel in Dublin. VERY upmarket. I thought, "why not try a Cuba?" so I had a Siglo 1. As I smoked it, I thought "this is nice!" What sealed it though was this BEAUTIFUL woman who came over to me and started talking because she smelled the Cohiba! She actually asked if I was smoking a Cohiba!

I'm exactly the same. I also love to inhale the scents.

- I rub my hands when I look thru my humis glass top, mmm smokes!

Don't have a glass top but Ilove the soft "pfft" my humi makes when I raise the lid.

I prefer CCs, but I now know that there are some good non CCs available.
