So I just noticed I ticked over 1,000 posts earlier today. I thought I should mark the occasion with a smoke. Picked out a long discontinued 2006 RyJ Tres Petit Corona. Here’s to the next 1,000

Also on a more important note, this is my first from the Tippex sale. Although I didn’t know him personally he has my best wishes.

Good so far, through about the first third. I was surprised by the amount of earth in the first few puffs but it’s settled into lovely typical RyJ flavours now. The cherries are most definitely there.

I find that they have a very pleasant sweet taste that's different from some of the other RyJs. In fact some of the RyJs taste like melted sugar to me which is why I've never been a fan of the marca. But I have learned to appreciate some of it's vitolas more and more in the last year or so.

They are definitely very sweet, in a good way though fruity and floral rather than sugar. It’s getting better and better too. I’m going to be burning my fingers tonight I think.

Why is it those brew dog tins come with those impossible plastic caddy's? My cans are always well shaken by the time I've unclipped them! Grrrrr

Haha I feel the pain but I seem to have sussed it now. Press the can firmly onto a hard surface and peel the plastic off of the can rather than trying to pull the can out of the plastic. I went though a stage where I only got half a can out of each one and the rest was lost to spillage.

                  P.S. it’s because it’s recyclable plastic

It is my first, I noticed you burned through them all almost instantly

I like to save the good stuff for when the time is right. Having a 4 year old makes me slightly worried I’ll be disturbed and not give a good smoke the attention it deserves.
That being said after how good that one was the rest have had their life expectancy dramatically reduced. A beautiful selection indeed.
