When I started I read an article that said the point at which to stop smoking a cigar is when the taste changes to something you don't like anymore and that's what I've stuck to. I've binned a Davidoff Salomon after an inch because it was just a mouthful of pepper and burned my fingers on a cheap corona.
If you ditched a Davidoff Salomon after an inch then maybe that explains why he could only stomach the first half
