I have heard that before. Will try next year... ☺ This year has been particularly bad, but there are some good days in between.

Tried one of them now and it tastes great. Really liking these which means it is NOT a RyJ. ☺

I have been ill with a nasty cold and some hay-fever for the last 2 weeks so hoping that by the end of this week its all shifted and I can finally sit down to enjoy the CoTM! not having cigars for 2 weeks is sending me a bit mad

I smoked one of mine yesterday - I went for the one with the darker looking wrapper. First off, it was stuffed, so much so the old perfect draw had to clear some room for air... However, for the remainder of the smoke it was built to perfection with a razor sharp burn to the end. Flavours, this was one salty smoke which I really enjoyed, it had the odd burst of sweetness, and herbaceous notes throughout - I would say that it lacked the cream/coffee notes that I would say is hoyo like, so for me that ruled them out. I also cannot place this one, I was leaning to a custom roll too but the fact you removed bands makes me doubt it (red herring?). This was an easy smoke, where I didn't have to think so much. Normally I would like more coffee/spice to my smoke, but that strange herbaceous saltiness was surprising really pleasant.

Going to smoke the second one in a week or so to see how it compares - but so far, i do not have the foggiest!

Smoking the second one right now, more cream and spice to this second half, and still herbaceous notes! I believe this is a H.Upmann Magnum 50, it tastes a lot like one (more so than the first smoke!)

I didn't measure it against one I have, but i thought the Mag 50 was a robusto extra?

Haha. I think it's classed as a double robusto, robusto extra is only 5.5 inch as far as I can remember.
