  • *rubs hands* What should I ask for my birthday?

Thankfully, my birthday is coming up on Aug 24th, and that means money, and hopefully cigars from my loved ones. Slightly arrogantly, Ive said, please consult with me first if youre going to buy cigars as I dont want to be dissappointed , and also I will need to keep them stored safely once they've been bought. Firm but fair ey?

So i'm thinking of just asking for a box of something, so much choice, im not too sure, Ill use this opportunity to get something nice mind.

    What would you fellas reccommend.

Amazingly I dont really want Cohiba, Im kinda washed out with them, im still exploring new territory. I REALLY enjoyed a RASS last night and would love to reflect more on them. I love an hour/Hour n a Half. Possibly I may age them, but free cigars are so great to smoke anytime, im sure we know that.

Im torn. Do I ask for some singles, or dedicate to a box. Help me UKCF!

Not arrogant at all, who'd want to have their birthday ruined with a box of Guantanamos. On my mother's birthday this year she had a call that her mum had gone into hospital... her mum almost died. Not a great birthday... but on the plus side, she didn't get any Guantanamos... (I can say this, as Grandma has since made a decent recovery...)

Personally, I'd go for the box over singles. For a birthday it would surely be quite nice to have the occassion of prizing open the lid to a beautiful box of some fine cigars.

lmao, I think if she had the guantanamos she might not of made a speedy recovery, o dear.

Yeah, 'getting a box' is another milestone I really want to pass. Seeing the photos in the post thread really make me envious, just seeing them all laying there

MrB why not get a bigger humidor then you can get the right cigars yourself. The amount of wonga you're spending you will need one soon.

lmao this is true also. I was thinking of that. Might use my current humi for AGING! and buy a bigger capacity one for general smoking. Crazy, not even a month in and im asking for a second humi lol

If they're going to be a present, it will be a fairly significant outlay for the person, Mr. B.

How about winding your preferred time down a little bit and go for the RASS's little sibling, the Ramone Allones Small Club Corona. 30-45 mins of pure joy, no batteries required, but you'll get a buzz. Plus, they're very affordable, without busting anyone's balls, or the other kind of genitalia.

EDIT: Whoops...go for a box! (no pun intended)

Hm, have actually been thinking about a 100 capacity humi :

May ask him that im from UKCF and am getting it for a Bday, may get a cheeky price drop. Who knows. Think it's best to invest in this area really. Ive orderd 25 piedras, a selection of 14 cigars from 1001 and a couple of others and im full. So I think, bigger humi makes the most sense.

I would go down the humidor route for a couple of reasons. One being that it will be a really helpful thing for you to have as it means the ability to store more cigars. second being that I always prefer to give people a present that will last a long time and be used, not just drank or ate or smoked. They will know everytime you open it up you will remember them as they bought it, and you will also remember them who bought it also.

                Sentimental sod me really!

Naaaa I am the same, usually I think long term like this, but a birthday is a good opportunity for a box or some smokes. I got my eyes on a 100 cap humi and it looks nice. May just ask for that. I know im going to get lots of 'you just got one!' but Ill have to explain that one will be for aging and the other for smoking

                    Mine's on the 23rd so it's a double celebration!

I wouldn't mind a dupont x-tend, but Dad just phone me after getting back from Spain saying he's already been in a humi and bought me something. Can't be bad!

I would go for a box of Trinidad Reyes, a great little smoke anytime of the day and if you have a lot of time on your hands...smoke two.

I don't often say this but if you consult our "Mexican Correspondent" he usually has his finger on the pulse about where the best prices and box codes are available.

Finally, if you are looking for a big blow out I would book to eat at Boisdale of Belgravia as booking a table gives you the benefit of being able to book a table on their delightful smoking terrace.
