  • Cuba Announces New Cigar Launches for 2018

    Morning Chaps,

For those of you that have not seen the article published last night in Cigar Aficionado, Habanos have announced the releases for 2018 (no doubt will arrive in 2019)

New Romeo y Julieta, Cohiba Reserva, Partagás Maduro, Hoyo de Monterrey extension and special Edición Limitadas headline this year’s Cuban line-up | Cigar Aficionado

What I am loving are the new LE skinnies, and the fact that the collective clamour for longer skinnier cigars have made an impression! Looking forward to the H. Upmann Propios in particular!

They also confirmed the great harvest, the record profits, and the top cigar selling markets - definitely Eurocentric !

Still plenty of large RG cigars but it’s nice to see some respite in the form of a couple of thinner LE’s. Hopefully the acknowledgment of feedback from people who enjoy more classic sizes will be telling in the next few years and we will see further releases with this in mind. Imagine a Lonsdale or Laguito No1 LE! Wishful thinking I know.

I don't see any real skinnies there. But this was interesting https://www.cigaraficionado.com/arti...ack-britanicas

This confirms the information that had been leaked by the Germans some months ago. Definitely looking forward to the HU and the Boli LEs. Another RyJ? They can keep that one (I didn't buy the last one neither). I would have loved the HU to be a little longer though, but I'm gonna be all over it since I'm a sucker for cabs (or slide boxes as they now call 'em) and can't stand those expensive LEs that come in those cheap dress boxes. But the price has to be right of course.

And Boli is Boli, so I don't care about the RG. I want a box, period.

I never had the Boli. But I will definitely be getting a box or two of the LGC if the price is right. Since I don't know anything about the British market except that prices vary a lot from one seller to the other I will have to rely on one of you chaps to help me out with these.

So 49 ring guage is thin now? That's why I must love a DC so much. It's a nice change of pace from smoking all these fat cigars.

Oh, I do not think you'll struggle to find helpers on here, quite a few of us owe you a debt

I wouldn't call it a debt. Just some helping out between cigar smokers. We need to look out for each other.

And give the finger to those guys who sell the latest RE at a nice profit for themselves on FB.

China. Yes there's definitely growth there I think in cigar sales although I expect it's even more niche there than here. If Trump is impeached and the gates to the US open who knows what will happen even with the bumper harvest!

Everything going LE, RE etc. Make everything rare over time. More money. Less to worry about for them to make production consistent over time.

Time to stock pile the regular stuff as that will phase out and also become limited? Well this is happening already.

                    More Lonsdale and lanceros please!
(They need to fit my nostril...)
                    .--
I think I may finally have this CAD under control...
