Your Collections

I sorted out my wineador last night and made sure everything was logged on cubancigarwebsites excellent collection feature. To my surprise I have amassed 405 cigars in the past 6 months or so, more than I thought but less than I?d like . I still need to do the same with my cube humidor which must contain at least another 100 sticks, most of these are much older as it?s what I was using from 2011 onwards.

This has got me thinking about collection sizes, so out of interest I thought I?d start a thread with two questions.

How big is your collection and what is your most prized feature contained within it?

To get us started my relatively modest collection contains approximately 500 cigars and the star of the show is a full 10 box of Bolivar Gold Medals box code MUA SEP 09.

Our collections sound about the same size. I need to reorganize tonight. To try to make room for a few more boxes I'm waiting for. I'll take some more photos.

Is custard rhyming slang for busted?

It’s amazing how much space can be created simply by reorganising, I was suprised last night that after playing box Tetris my wine fridge is probably not quite a quarter full so it must have space for 1200+ more cigars. Such dangerous knowledge.

To answer your questions, right now I'm at around 2kish sticks. I have traded some over stock away to make a little space. As for my most prized feature? I really don't know, probably a few singles that I have such as some aged CoLa or my Boli Lonsdale from 98.

As for bigger is not always better, my girlfriend tells me that this is true but that to small is no fun at all!

I see, i’ll see about uploading a photo tonight. Not sure about the custard though, I’ll have to check in the kitchen to see if we have any.

Without counting each stick, I think I'm up to the 350/400 mark.

I counted them all and recorded them, it was a bit of a pain and took a couple of hours but it was quite therapeutic in the end.

They were the fourth box of cigars I bought, I can’t bring myself to smoke one though

I wish I’d have bought half a dozen, especially at the price they were available for before they were discontinued. I’ve seen them selling for ?400+ a box now, it’s crazy.

It's good to see that I'm not alone. I just can't bring myself to break into some boxes that I own. And not only the stuff that's hard to find. I have a cab of BBf that's so beautiful, I just can't crack it.

?400 is way to much for those IMO. I have seen boxes for $350ish but did not go for them.

Well if you manage to brake into your box one day maybe you would be willing to trade me one or two.....

Well it's official I'm packed to the rafters. No idea how I'm going to fit the last 3 boxes and the customs in there. The reshuffle did help.. but I think I'll spill out after all. But that's everything!

My spreadsheet says exactly 300 singles. 237 boxed. That's after the last few bits turn up.

And that's it! The full Monty. I'd better stop buying and start smoking!
