Being a US based publication, there are far more NCs on the list than CCs, many of which I personally have never heard of. On the whole, I don't place much faith/emphasis in these lists, but what are your thoughts on this one? Do you agree/disagree with it? Are there any surprises? What would make your 'list' of 2017?

I was going to ask about this too. I've only smoked 3,4,11!
I don't know whether it's because an American publication or otherwise. There are 3 CC on the list so obviously they can consider all of them. There are many more NC than CC however available.
They always seem to put 3 token CC in the top 25 they could be a little less obvious about it lol #fix!.--
I think I may finally have this CAD under control...

The Power of Money!
FWIW, I have enjoyed many, many A.Fuente sticks and as a whole, it?s one of the better NCs available. In fact, the 858 is my favorite ?value? stick.
Now, with respect to the Don Carlos line, I have always sought out these somewhat rare and expensive sticks. One of my favorite NCs, TBH, although the one I smoked a few weeks ago (not CA?s #1 of the year) was rather ho-hum (probably more to do with me than the stick).
But I agree, you have to take the CA top 25 with a grain of salt, IMO

Here's a thought that occurred to me last night whilst reading the magazine. If the Andalusian Bull was number 1 last year how come it doesn't feature this year? Are they saying that this year's top cigars are all better than last year's number one or is their testing perhaps not as objective as it should be'Cigars are a hobby, cigarettes an addiction'

I'm sure it's got nothing at all to do with their sponsorship or adverts...I mean, if you cannot trust a capitalist to be honest and impartial then there is something wrong with the worldOnly the impossible is worth the effort.

I had this thought too and the only possible excuse they could use that I could think of was that it might be that, to stick with your example, the Andalusian Bull produced this year is not as good as those of last years production.
Not that I believe that.
