  • Smoke cigars, avoid alzheimers....?

    Well that's interesting!

Richard Littlejohn wrote a similar article a few months ago after discovering that Australian doctors are trialling nicotine patches to help treat Alzheimers. Caffeine apparently also has positive effects in that area as well as helping to prevent four types of oral cancer caused by smoking and drinking. Its not all bad news

I'm sure there's a lot of papers about MJ and medicinal benefits for a long time now ... http://www.independent.co.uk/life-st...-a7621991.html

Interesting but don't hold your breath waiting for any positive acknowledgements from the Medical authorities.
My motto has always been moderation. Smoking cigars (without inhaling), moderately, is unlikely to do you much harm; as long as you haven't any respiratory or circulatory conditions.

Like many medicines isn't nicotine in its purest form a deadly poison?

Smoke cigars, drink whiskey, live over 111 years!

Richard Overton, of Austin, Texas, was born May 11, 1906, and fought in the 1887th Engineer Aviation Battalion in World War II.

Most medicinal drugs come from plant origins and the benefits / detriments based upon concentration used.
Alcohol can be beneficial but again in moderation. A glass of red wine -good. A 6 pack of Tennants Super - not so.

Chain smoking 12 cigars a day doesn't sound like moderation!
