                1) How old were you when you started smoking cigars?

About 18. I'd smoked cigarettes from 16 mainly to annoy my parents.

                2) What attracted you to smoking cigars?

My best friend?s father worked in exporting and so always had a box of Cuban cigars in his lounge. We tried some and enjoyed them, that was start of a slippery slope.

                3) How many cigars do you smoke a day/a week?

My cigar smoking is very seasonal. In the summer maybe one a day, in the winter it could go down to one a month.

                4) Which is the best place you have smoked a cigar?

A couple spring to mind. Sitting at the bar in the Partagas factory in Havana for the first time (Siglo VI). Our back garden after the birth of our son (Montecristo A).

                5) What do you use to cut the cigar?

I used a cheap cigar cutter until Nic Wing showed me the error of my ways. If I am travelling I take a small cutter. At home, I have a Sautter desk cutter.

                6) How do you feel while you are smoking?

I stop thinking and relax, something I otherwise very rarely do.

                7) When do you light your first cigar of the day?

                Late afternoon or evening.

                8) What level of interest would you class yourself as? A) Infrequent pleasure/ B) regular feature of my leisure time/ C) I am constantly planning how to fit smoking time around work & family.

                B

                9) Would you describe your current cigar stock as approx: A) Buying more or less as you smoke them. B) appropriate to the amount you smoke C) modest aging stock D) You actually believe the wife is right ? you have more than you will ever smoke!

                C

                10) Is your current stock approx.: A) 100% Cuban, B) 90% Cuban, C) 75% Cuban D) 50% Cuba, E) 25% Cuban, F) 100%

I?d say B. I have some wonderful NC smokes, but always seem to gravitate back to Cubans.

                  1) How old were you when you started smoking cigars?

Smoked my first at 18, infrequently thereafter. I started smoking regularly about 3/4 years ago.

                  2) What attracted you to smoking cigars?

I?ve always loved the smell of cigars and pipe tobacco.

                  3) How many cigars do you smoke a day/a week?

During the Winter as little as 1 a month, will smoke frequently during warmer months. I probably average 2/3 per week over the year.

                  4) Which is the best place you have smoked a cigar?

Most memorable was at a restaurant called Polygon in Clapham close to 2 decades ago, back when you could smoke indoors and they had a humidor on the bar. It was an RyJ Ex 4.

                  5) What do you use to cut the cigar?

                  Usually a Colibri v-cutter.

                  6) How do you feel while you are smoking?

If I?m not relaxed it probably wasn?t the right time for a cigar.

                  7) When do you light your first cigar of the day?

Usually in the evening when the kids are in bed.

                  8) What level of interest would you class yourself as? A) Infrequent pleasure/ B) regular feature of my leisure time/ C) I am constantly planning how to fit smoking time around work & family.

                  B to C.

9/ Would you describe your current cigar stock as approx: A) Buying more or less as you smoke them. B) appropriate to the amount you smoke C) modest aging stock D) You actually believe the wife is right ? you have more than you will ever smoke!.

                  C to D.

                  10/ Is you current stock approx.: A) 100% Cuban, B) 90% Cuban, C) 75% Cuban D) 50% Cuba, E) 25% Cuban, F) 100% NC?

I own 2 non-Cuban; a Sons of Anarchy Robusto and a UKCF banded Dunhill. Neither will be smoked, I doubt I?ll knowingly buy an NC again.

                    1) How old were you when you started smoking cigars?

                    17/18

                    2) What attracted you to smoking cigars?

The theatre of it all... usual black tie event coupled with a smoke after the dinner (back when smoking at the table indoors was ok)

                    3) How many cigars do you smoke a day/a week?

A running average may be none or 1 or 2. A holiday is probably 7-10

                    4) Which is the best place you have smoked a cigar?

place is not really my thing. The occasion has been more memorable. Up in the Rockies a little bit 'up' on altitude was a decent spot!
                    5) What do you use to cut the cigar?

                    A Xigar cutter

                    6) How do you feel while you are smoking?

like I am grabbing back some time. I have long said that buying is like putting relaxation in the bank. Smoking is cashing it in!

                    7) When do you light your first cigar of the day?

No set pattern. All down to mood and opportunity.

                    8) What level of interest would you class yourself as? A) Infrequent pleasure/ B) regular feature of my leisure time/ C) I am constantly planning how to fit smoking time around work & family.

                    An A/B

9/ Would you describe your current cigar stock as approx: A) Buying more or less as you smoke them. B) appropriate to the amount you smoke C) modest aging stock D) You actually believe the wife is right – you have more than you will ever smoke!.

I feel C, reality likely to be D

                    10/ Is you current stock approx.: A) 100% Cuban, B) 90% Cuban, C) 75% Cuban D) 50% Cuba, E) 25% Cuban, F) 100% NC?

B/C - fluctuates its Cuban dominated by I have a locknlock reserved for NC puros as I really quite like them!

Fantastic notion; not only is it true, it is also a wonderful way to justify buying those smokes
