• Decent cigar merchant in Sheffield?

Any recommended purveyors of good cigars (not just Cuban as prefer new world) in the fair city of Sheffield?
Like to take some time away from the office and pick up a few sticks for the humidor.

The only place I know of is Mitchells Wine Merchants. Decent selection and plenty of quality whiskies, spirits etc. The downside is that it's only the owner (I think) that knows anything about cigars as he smokes them; the other staff can show you the humidor but not offer any real advice. Prices are considerably higher than online too.

Are there two Sheffields then?

How rude PeeJay I'm from Sheffield

Mitchell's wine on Chesterfield road is owned by the father of school friend of mine and she actually works for the business now too, it's definitely the best place in terms of selection in Sheffield. The only other place I know of is a tobacconist near Castle Market, I think it is called Kingsize, however it is not guaranteed to still be there as I haven't been in at least 5 years.

I think Kingsize is still there Alex, am sure I saw it the last time I was there, around 3 or 4 months ago. Mitchell's has been there for as long as I can remember, I grew up in Sheffield, although I moved away from there 15 years ago. They must be doing something right!

I went there when they were building your tram system - no way it was a 'fair' city and I can't see all those rails being an improvement somehow. They're not in Croydon and that's not a 'fair' town either!
