Hard question that, torn between Diamond Crown and Habana Vieja at the moment.

I've never tried either, but you are clearly a man of great taste, so will hunt some down!

Davidoff
I have a particular taste, I like milder smokes and Davidoff construction and repeatability is perfect. Shame the cost is a bit high

I really like the Demi Tasse for a quick smoke. I find it very clean and moreish. Can't justify almost ?30 for a pack of 10 though!

I have to agree that the diamond crown julius caesar takes some beating for an nc. Not sure if theyve made tgeir way over here though.

For cubans i would have to go for bolivar as they are great across their whole range and ive found them to be more consistent than monte or partagas.

Would you say the price is fair on these PeeJay? Obviously not much choice as this seems to be the only place in the UK to get them, but in terms of price vs quality?

Its a quality cigar so I would say if you don't have another source then its worth trying them. I have a box of #4 that I bought on a cruise ship and I love them.

Thanks PeeJay. Are they comparable to anything else?

You'll have to ask groundhog about the Julius Caesar, the ones I've got are closest to an Upmann Royal Robusto. Remember these are premium Dominican puros not Cubans.

Thanks again, the sampler looks pretty good so will probably give them a try.

Hey K444HEP - The Julius Caesar are my all time favourite cigars. Bar none. The only thing that's come close is the AF God of Fire Don Carlos Robusto Gordo 2008 (and they're about twice the price).
I'm running out now, but will have these in preference to Cubans.
Next up, I'd put My Father no2.
They are both utterly consistent and excellent value for money.
I know there are NC haters out there - but I love that when I reach for one, I know I'm going to nub it - no problems, no burn issues, no draw issues - just tonnes of billowing smoke and tasty goodness from the moment you light it until the moment the last few millimetres fall into the ash tray.

I'm definitely going to try these now, thanks for taking the time to write that groundhog. I had a My Father No.2 not so long ago and really enjoyed it, so if it's in the same ballpark, I'm sold!

Edit: it was actually a Flor De Las Antillas that I had, but it was still good!

No worries
In the States, they're pretty much never discounted - and they discount everything!
That gives you an idea of how well they sell

In fact, I might run a box split..... Yes, a box split it is. K444HEP - Head over to the box split section
