  • A guy walks into a cigar lounge...

Asks for the menu. Chooses a cigar. Sits down. Lights it. Enquires about drinks. 20 mins later gathers his gear and leaves. Cigar was barely 25% done! Didn't seem to be a hurry. Looked late 40s. They kept his cigar just in case. But he never returned in an hour.

I did notice the smoking was lots of small puffs which I thought was odd.

I was there savouring till the last inch. Sipping on a beer. Chilling out. It was great being the only one in there. Small world. A guy popped in who id only met a few times years ago through a non cigar forum.

So that's my experience of a cigar lounge. Nice quiet place. In the middle of the hustle and bustle of a bar/restaurant. 5 mins from work...

Getting some time to visit a lounge I'd think an hour would be the minimum, a decent long smoke or 2 short ones. Not familiar with the area but I would have thought a central location would have had some more buzz about it but I suppose it's quite niche.
Overall in your opinion would you return? What was the ambiance like?

It was Boisdales canary wharf. I would absolutely return. Apparently it can be busy so might have been pot luck to have it all to myself on a Friday evening around 6 till 730ish.

It's a really nice setting. Well designed for a posh (for me) cigar lounge without being elitist.

Can bring in drinks from the bar. Comfy chairs. Nice decor. Subtle music. You'll pay a premium for a eat in cigar.

Guy and lady who worked there seemed nice and relaxed. I knew what I wanted so didn't rely on them in this case.

Sounds the business, I envy you sir! If I happen to be traveling near the area will make it a definite stopping point of an evening.

              A Night to Remember!

Just the mention of Boisdale brings a tear to me eye and will always live on in the annals of Coro folklore.

It was there, on the balcony of Boisdale during a cool spring evening in 2009, that dons TJ and brokenwing (Nic Wing) met for the first time to swap stories and enjoy fine beverages and puros.

If fact, if we are to believe don TJ's journals (and I do), it was there that don TJ introduced don brokenwing to the euphoric pleasures of the the Trinidad Reyes. Of course, as has been posted here and on other media outlets, many myths have spread about this "introduction" since the historic meeting, but the journals provide sufficient contemporaneous evidence to convince me. End of story.
