Abbreviations Thread

I thought it might be a good idea to start a thread with a list of commonly used abbreviations and acronyms so that newcomers are able to more easily navigate their way around. I must admit, I have found myself confused on a number of occasions with this, so am hopeful it will prove useful.

I guess the best way would be to have an alphabetical list and just copy and paste the previous post and then provide your own additions.

Perhaps we should go back to adding the meaning of acronyms and abreviations in parens (). Old don TJ did it all the time when we avereged one or more Knewbees a day.

My contribution: "Puro" as used by the familia Coro is a Cuban Cigar. Technically, however, puro in spanish means "pure" and is used to signify a cigar made entirely of leaf from a single country.
