UK Retailers - please delete if not allowed

Does anyone know of UK Retailers (online or B&M but deliver) who will let you have box codes to establish the age of the cigars? I realise that this is not practical for larger organisations that may ship from somewhere other than their 'base' but would like the option if it is available.

As far as I know you are fine, muchacho. Many moons ago it was decided to limit vendor discussions to UK vendors - both B&M and online.

I think most retailers will provide box codes if you ask for them (at least in my experience), CGars and My Smoking Shop certainly have for me, although sometimes they dont have a recorded, for example, if you order the last few from a long lost box

Cgars is my preferred retailer but when I asked about this, they told me that they were unable to provide box codes as the stock was so large they couldn't guarantee that I would get a particular box due to them being shipped from various locations.

Cgars used to, but have said it is not possible the last time I asked. Mysmokingshop have always been able to do this. I order singles occasionally from them and they are always able to tell me the code. Great service too!

That's good to know; it's for my own reference really. I am.still purchasing singles but it's handy to know how old the stick im smoking is so that when the box hunt begins I know what I'm looking for.

If you're buying singles that are in current production, you can assume they will be 2016 or even '17. If buying a box, they should be able to tell you before you buy & of course once you have received your purchase it'll be on the box. I always look for some age on my boxes when buying, as contrary to popular belief, I am not patient enough to wait 2 or 3yrs longer by buying green sticks.

I did make an exception in Cuba because nothing I found was older than 2016!

That all makes sense, Simon. I was enquiring about buying a box/cabinet of PLPCs and Trini Reyes from CGars and they were unable to help in this respect, which I found slightly disappointing. Like you, I wanted the PLPCs with a few years on them, but was looking for younger Reyes. I'll try mysmokingshop as lestabantam suggested and let you know how I get on.
