Congratulations on the forthcoming nuptials. We didn't have any cigars at our wedding but I seem to remember that at the end of the meal for the stag do we all ordered cigars - no idea what - and our half of the restaurant disappeared in a blue fog! Showing my age, as you'd probably be arrested if you lit up in a restaurant today. FWIW, I'd go with something like a box of RyJ No 2 tubos at the reception and something a bit more special for the stag do.

Thanks for all the stella advice and congratulatory comments - I am very much liking the idea of tubed, not only for the protection aspect but also its seems a bit more giftyas you say, being presented a nice cigar in a tube that can be smoked then or kept for later on.

I shall have a look at the 3 and 5 tube packs and see what takes my fancy, just having a quick look on cgars seems there's some good stuff for under ?50!

      thanks again.

I shall post up what I get once i've decided.

Well now 2 days later and incredibly tired but relaxed as we sit on the terrace of our Barcelona hotel avoiding the mass demonstrations going on outside!

i bought 5 Petit Edmundos and only 2 were smoked, one by me and one by my new father in law who managed about 3 quarters before setting it down In the ashtray I went just beyond that and can say it was a tremendous stick, wasn't too strong for me and worked well with the Guinness and whisky I was drinking!

and it now means I ha e 3 more sticks in stock for another time! Though as I'm 10 mins walk from two cigar shops with a big range of singles in each I shall be partaking in some credit card bashing before I leave on Wednesday!
the stash I bought with me is

                      - X1 Petit Edmundo
                      - X1 El Rey Del Mundo Choix Supreme
                      - X1 Por Laranga - not sure the name but rubusto ish size
                      - X1 Hoyo Petit rubusto

                        Cool - more for you!

I was worried you'd got a box of 25 for the wedding and most were a few puffs and put down!

That was my experience, but I don't remember exactly the vitolas, I *think* RyJ PC or smaller. I think the Edmundo - even the Petit might scare some ppl off due to its RG.

Enjoy your break in volatile times.

Stock up as much as you can while you're in Barcelona is the best advice I can give you.
