Yesterday, I lit up a Cohiba Robusto only for it to have no draw at all. This has only happened a couple of times, but is their much that can be done, or just accept the situation and move on?

Try carefully pushing a skewer down the length of the cigar (or a Perfecdraw tool) to loosen up any plugs. Massage the stick up and down its length to do the same. Take it back if bought from a shop in this country.

I got it from this sites sponsor, but it was a few months back and I've already thrown it (I was pissed off as I've been staring at it in my humidor for months) , so that's out of the question. But my post is more to find out what I can do in the future if this happens ago, which you give me an idea, so thanks for that.

I've had a couple of plugged cigars recently, really annoying. I did what PeeJay said about using a skewer, it was a Cohiba Secretos and it helped a bit but kept plugging back up.

You need to pull it out so that it drags a small amount of tobaco with it. That is what the Perfecdraw tool is designed to do.

The skewer didn't remove any material which is why it kept plugging then.

Right. Pokers like theses (e.g., Draw Poker, skewer) simply squeeze the baccy to the outside, making a small tunnel which eventually closes up as the stick warms up. I have used one for years with mostly unsatisfactory results.

Correct! The best tool on the market today is the PerfecDraw, which, as se?or PJ noted, actually removes the leaf, making the bunch loose and workable. After perfecting my PerfecDraw technique, my Draw Poker has been retired.

Had exactly the same with a Secretos recently and just binned it after struggling to half way. It was my first Cohiba also which was disappointing.

It's not what you expect from a "premium" brand.

This is dissapointing to hear, espeially for a "flag-ship" puro! (Sad)

I guess the "draw test" machines installed at each factory a few years back must have been on the fritz the day yours were rolled.

Indeed, it's wasn't like there was a hard spot you could get past, it was rolled extremely tight.
