Everyday smoke is a term I hear quite often and I wondered what are people's views on what makes a good everyday smoke, value, time to smoke, etc? I'd also be interested in what people's favourite ones are? I rarely find longer than an hour to smoke so the larger cigars are more occasional than everyday, so I'd say something like the Por Larranaga Panetelas being relatively cheap and quick to smoke while still giving me my Cuban fix.

For me an 'everyday' smoke is a small one that I might enjoy with a cup of coffee, especially on holiday, or a cheapie that I might smoke when I'm doing something else like DIY or gardening.
'I rarely find longer than an hour to smoke' - a great quote I read said that if you can't find an hour in the day for a good cigar then you're living your life too fast.'Cigars are a hobby, cigarettes an addiction'

But yea for me an everyday smoke would have to be something I could smoke in 45 mins max.

Everyday smokes for me are not so much based on size, but on price. When I have a cigar while playing golf, I wouldn't take one of the finer specimens in my humidor, but one of which I bought a box and have plenty. And some that won't cost too much, because I know I won't give it my undivided attention.

Agree somewhat with Niela. It's more to do with price/quality for what I'd consider an everyday smoke. That said roughly, bigger cigars = higher cost (very roughly - don't jump on me!)
For an everyday smoke I'd usually go for one of the following:
- Monte No. 4
- Upmann Half Corona
- Flor De Cano Selectos
All are relatively short smokes, relatively cheap smokes and great quality.

Very good points on it being more about price than size, although I guess the cost to size ratio plays a part. I have a couple of boxes of Fonseca No 1's that I use if I can't give the cigar my full attention (out walking or playing golf) they are not the smallest but were very good value imo.
