  • Freezing Cigars

    Hi All,
There was a thread (or part there of) that discussed freezing cigars before putting them in the Humi to ensure no pests are introduced. My question is, do the cigars require any prep before being put into the freezer or is it simply a case of throwing them in amongst the frozen pea's etc, and if so, for how long?
    As always, thanks guys.

I have never done it myself Kev. but the method I read about involved placing the cigars in a ziploc bag, and
then inside a second ziploc. Then the 2-3-2 method. 2 days in the fridge, 3 in the freezer, and then another
    2 back in the fridge.

It doesn't ensure no pests are introduced, it kills the little buggers!

Hey Kev, i recently did this process johnny suggested.

before i put the cigars in a ziplock bag i cling filmed them in batches and them placed them in larger bag.

To be on the safe side i also placed the bags in a lock and lock box just so no odour could affect the cigars.

Cigars are suitably attired in cling film, bagged up and spending their first night in the fridge.
