Is their a reason why a cigar would react like that? we tried softening it up etc and the leaf then started to give away. It was in a humidor for a number of weeks at 68% humidity.
    As above. Any ideas?

Probably rolled too tightly for the amount of leaves in the cigar.

    How come you're quoting yourself?

Took it from the new in the humidor thread. So instead of retyping i copied and pasted my quote

Is their much i could have done to correct the problem?

I don't think there's that much you can do about a tight draw. Cigars are a handmade product so liable to some issues/variations. A statistic I've heard is 1-2 per box might have draw issues on average.

If you've picked up a single etc from a UK store recently, if you mention the draw issues most will be happy to replace (including the board's sponsor)

I definitely wouldn't write off a cigar forever because of a draw issue on one stick!

some brands and vitolas have a reputation for having construction issues / draw isues - have a search on the one you had or ask on here about the specific cigar just in case, as quoted previously there are often one or 2 in a box that are shit but with so many cigars available i always look at the reviews just incase there are known crap smokes - - thats just me tho..
