Swapping cigars between humidors

Hi chaps!

I have a quick newby query that I'd be grateful if you knowledgeable lot could help with!

I'm currently awaiting delivery of a new, bigger humidor (and so it begins....... ). My current little humidor has a closed but not sealed box of 2014 Montecristo 4s in it. I'm using 72% Boveda packs in it, which seem to be keeping the humidor at 70-71%. I'm planning to run the new humidor with 69% Boveda packs, which will hopefully give me more like 67-68%, which will leave me feeling a little less close to the line.

So ... when I've got the new humidor set up and running at about 68%, will I be OK to just transfer the box of No. 4s straight from one humidor to the other? Should I leave them for a while before smoking to settle? Basically, is there any special care I should be giving them, or will they be OK plonked straight into a slightly different humidity.

I just thought I'd check, as if I knackered a box of cigars, I think I'd cry - probably quite loudly and snottily - and no-one needs to see that.

Just move them across, it will take a month or two for the cigars to drop the couple of points of humidity but they're still smokeable during that period.

I woulden't worry about it simon when the new humidor is up and running just put the box in.
