Pairing with soft drinks

We all know that good cup of tea or coffee will go well with some cigars. But do you pair them with any carbonated, soft drinks?

Since I drink a lot of energy drinks, I tried them with cigars on multiple ocassions now. What I really like is that this combination leaves nice, sweet, cookie-like aftertaste. For me perfect when I can't have any alcohol to go with my stick.


What did you find works best for you?

I go pure apple juice with fizzy water, that can work nicely! As do Coke or ginger ale!

But always prefer a shot of rum!!

The important thing for us lightweights is to include sugar to counteract the effects of the nicotine

Guess that's why energy drinks work so good for me - after all, it's liquid sugar .

If i have not had a meal before i will usualky have a coke or sprite, not the diet version otherwise the nicotine does hurt me

Water goes quite well...or even lemon/cucumber water.

But normal I like a nice whisky As I have my cigars later in the day.

I've had cigars with coke before - is nice. Ginger beer can be a bit overpowering though

Probably wouldn't pair with juice or any other soft drinks - unless there are some interesting recommendations in here...

Iced tea is quite nice with a cigar.

I now tend to avoid carbonated drinks whilst smoking because more often than not the combination gives me the hiccups.

I'm not really one for soft drinks, it's either alcohol, water, tea or coffee. I do like a nice glass of milk sometimes with a cigar
