  • Tight draw batch of cigars fix

Saw this on a another forum...amazed that it works...just wanted to know of anyone has tried this here?

Was a technique used by a vendor and recommends it.

Clip the end/cap*of the one you*wish to smoke. You must clip the cap

Put it in the refrigerator on a shelf uncovered for two - three hours.

Test the draw. If still too tight...leave it in there until the next day.

    You will likely be amazed.

Is it just because the fridge is lower humidity? So it dries out the cigar giving a better draw?

Maybe the cold causes some contraction too, freeing up some space to draw?

Will have to try that next time I get a tight stick, if it works it'll be a life-saver!

That's a pretty common trick, I've used it myself a few times... it doesn't always work, but it helps!

Just wondering if any other smells from the fridge could affect the taste of the stick after being in there a day?? Other than that it seems a good trick! [emoji1303]

Most fridges smell to a certain extent, whether it's garlic or orange juice it's never going to be 100% odour free. Unfortunately I'm a student and don't have the luxuries that most cigar smokers have [emoji6] Humidor, a ?7 lighter and a Xikar is all I have/need [emoji23]

This just sounds like a dry box method but quicker.
