As for hitting him, No. I did however make him drink so much that he puked in their taxi on the way home... lol - sweet revenge.

That reminds me, I was thinking about asking people to get my cigars for birthdays/Xmas as a failsafe gift. I always love a cigar gift, almost as much as money. But I was thinking....Ill have to liase with anyone whos pondering on buying me a cigar to make sure they get a good one! Can you imagine a birthday and getting a pack of 5 Guans or hamlets from the local offy.........errrsigpicComment

Try smoking any cigar after brushing your teeth with a menthol toothpaste & rinsing with an alcohol-based mouthwash, or whilst sitting at the retirement afternoon tea party of your tee-totaller chartered accountant - why one would do any of this is beyond me
but it puts the concept of 'worst cigar' somewhat into context.
Under what one could consider normal / usual smoking circumstances the worst cigars I remember were a Toscanelli (besides, I needed to use a foghorn to be found in the house afterwards), a Churchill and a Robusto from Don Tomas or the Toro from Luis Martinez. I could literally feel the skin peeling off my gums.
Oh, and once I had one rather ghastly cherry-flavoured corona from I-don't-know-who on a weekend in Manila, but I was half off my trolley & the girl who gave it to me stayed the night, so, well......

As I've generally been quite selective with what I have bought, I haven't really had any cigars which are bad/unsmokeable. Laying aside the Henri Wintermans (as I think it would be using artistic licence to call them 'real' cigars), then I'd have to say that my worst two cigars were both at this weekend's herf.
One, the Monte Open Regata was the only cigar that I have ever given up on at the half-way stage. It was not nice. I knew it would be mild (which seems to be from whence a lot of the flak it gets comes from), however, it just tasted unpleasant.
A real shame, as it was a gorgeous looking cigar, and I'm usually quite keen on light and relatively mild smokes.
The other poor showing was from an NC - a Dunhill Petit Corona. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't a bad cigar at all (I'd probably rate it in the high 70s), it was just a little bit of a disappointment. I will definitely try another Dunhill, for some reason, I just want to love them... maybe it's the British connection, or the wonderful bands... who knows?Comment

yeah, ive had 3 punch punch, one fell apart on me, the other was plugged but the one that was ok was absolutely beautiful. im not ready to give up on punch, am going to maybe grab a box of DC or the robusto extras. the petit punch is brilliant too.Originally posted by Stevieboy View PostComment

I am surprised I did not jump into this thread before, I thought I had. I know I have mentioned this before.
Ignoring generic, or "gash" cigars and Jimmeh calls them, I will stick to supposed "name" cigars. Well Jimmeh had read good things about the NC brand Graycliff. There is some provenance to this brand but who cares about that!
We stumbled across two offerings from them. The first we tried was the The Graycliff Ch?teau Grand Cru.
What a load of bo**ocks this smoke is. As I said before it is best described as a fist full of loose tobacco, poor tobacco at that.
To get them out of our humidors we did try the other cigar we purchased from the same brand, the Graycliff Espresso.
For a NC it is not half bad! I have two in my humi at this moment. Not a bad social smoke at all. Well a social smoke for the sort of friend who does not warrant the company of a good Cuban, you know, somebody French.
