First Sample Selection

I finally got the opportunity to browse parts of don TJ's rather large humidor and pick a few cigars to further my quest for cigar knowledge. I'll try to place pictures within this post, but for some reason they often upload as attachments. Go figure!

Anyway, since I know nothing about the cigars I selected*, except that they are all Cubans (or puros, as don TJ call 'em), I would greatly appreciate any information, comments or suggestions on the "pictured puros" (LOL)

I agree the glass-top cigar boxes look very classy, indeed! May have to try one of them, first!

(BTW, they are very easy to get in Mexico and quite reasonably priced, if anyone is interested.)

Hi Wigan. I don't know about that. The ones in the pictures are Limited Editions. You can find them being sold in all the outdoor markets down this way. Tip to tourist, be sure to negotiate the price. I'm told the vendors will come down quite a bit on these babies.

Who is don TJ? Fair question, Matt Wall... kinda' surprised no one has asked before, since don TJ's account went silent over one and a half years ago - probably before you and a lot of the folks who post around here joined the UKCF.

There's plenty os stuff about don TJ and his cohorts in the archives, but if you take a look at my introductory post HERE, I think you will have a better understanding of who I am (Ricky Bobby) and how I got here. In a nutshell, my name is Ricky Bobby and I'm a total newbie to cigars. As an apprentice of don TJ's, I am here to learn as much as I can about cigars from you guys.

Hopefully, my newbie questions and posts won't drive you too crazy (LOL).

I have absolutely no idea what/who the hell I'm dealing with here, reading previous people's comments it seems I'm talking to an ex-member that has reintroduced himself onto the forum under the name of Ricky for some reason, it appears you have quite a following whether infamous or not. I enjoy listening to people with different takes on how they act in social situations. I look forward to reading more of your posts TJ.

Also have you bought fake cigars and then stuck real ones in those Cohiba boxes for the lols or are you a seller/dealer of fake cigars? A shroud of confusion covers me atm haha [emoji23]

You've got a good eye, Stevieboy! You must be one of the experts don TJ warned.....um, I mean, TOLD me about. (HAHA!)

I found this in a special drawer in don TJ's humidor. On the label is says "Romeo y Julieta Edition Limitada 2005." I'm assuming it a very special cigar since is was stored in a special place. I hope don TJ let's me smoke it sometime.

You know it, SHAMZ84. I can't wait to crack it open and get my hand of one of these cigars. As far as source, you can find them on practically any street corner in Mexico. Apparently, they are very popular here.
