Italian Regional Releases

Hi guys,
I've just booked a 5 night holiday to Rome with my girlfriend in June and of course I'll be popping to Fincato's, the Casa there, (although I haven't told her yet) We've managed to get some Italian guy's room through AirBnB (check it out if you haven't heard of it) with a balcony as well so I'll be able to be smoke in the evenings overlooking Rome.
Anyway my question is this, are there any Italian Regional Releases that I should look out for?? I plan on getting some of the La Escepcion sticks if they have any but other than that does anyone know of any real good smokes that I can get from Italy??

If you can get the 2011 Selectos Finos they are very well thought of, but also very hard to find

+1 on the 2011, a great smoke but like hens teeth. The Don Jose will be readily available I would imagine and are a nice smoke but need some time down.

check the website, i am pretty sure there is a day in the week when they are not open. They were kind enough to attempt to order in stuff when i was last in Rome. So, if you are there for a few days, calling ahead might help....

Have a good stay Matt, might be worth mentioning your cigar buying, smoking plans to the GF before you go, my wife hates it when I say at the last minute, 'Oh just going to nip in here darling...& then have a smoke'

Haha yeah I was thinking of telling her some time soon Simon B, I've paid for most of the holiday myself so far so I better be allowed to get a few cigars from Fincato's otherwise they'll be trouble!

Yes la escepcion both the 2011 and the 2015 are great. I doubt you'll not enjoy any of them.

The diadema are huge though, it's not a cigar for me.

i have a few CR Diademas and you're right Krist, they're massive ! I enjoy the larger RG vitolas but they're too big for me too. Think I may have to move them on to a good home soon.

Have you tried the La Escepcion Don Jose 2015 release Krist?? Is it any good if so? I'm hoping to pick one up if it's a decent stick.
