So as others are running threads for their buys ect I thought I would start one on my smokes as I just can't seem to manage to post pics at home. By the time I get offshore it's too late to add to the daily 'What are you smoking today' thread so I'll just add them here.
To start off with a truly amazing cigar that after 20yrs of smoking Havana's, became my second 100 pointer! It was a gifted Cohiba Robusto from 1995. They were still made with black tobacco then so unfortunately, they are never going to taste this good again; even though they are still a fine smoke - with 5yrs age.
The Cohiba flav came through on the first puff & within the first half inch the flav was as rich as any I have known. The ash was white & firm, the draw perfect. The second third was just pure joy & at around half way mark it dawned on me this was going to be a 100pt cigar. There was no fault, everything had married together in perfect harmony. I made the last third last as long as possible to extend this most pleasurable experience & put it down at the band when it became slightly less tasty & I didn't want to go too far & not leave a great after taste. It had been a gift from my friend Troy Staton, who hails from Boston, USA & is a mighty fine BOLT to share such an amazing cigar.

Lovely sunny afternoon & a fancied a contrasting pair of smokes. Chose a Hoyo Epi No2 2006 to start with gifted by our very own Moondancer; a lovely smooth soft smoke with coffee, many thanks Brian! Followed by a meaty Boli RS 1995 from Troy Staton, which was as good as it sounds!
