  • montecristo open?

has anyone on here tried these cigars. Its only I read somewhere that it is meant to be a slightly lighter taster to the monetcristo range just wondering if they are any good fancying a trip out tomorrow might pick some up

Do you like the original montecristo range? I've not tried any of the opens personally so can't comment on that. However I am a fan of monte 4s. Not sure id want a lighter version as I think the bitter sweet balance of the normal range is already pretty much perfect. If I fancy a lighter smoke I just choose a lighter brand.

however if you like the normal montes but wish they were a little lighter I suppose they would be a smart choice

I had one given to me at a wedding about three years ago. I can't remember which one, but it was flavoursome enough.

It was the way, but may not be so much now, but as this range was not popular for some years, it was quite easy to pick relatively older sticks up.

I've tried them all, they are decent enough. The Regatta is my favourite. Some aficionados are very dismissive of this range.

Me being one of them. I never smoked one I enjoyed, and I quite like the regular MC lineup.

I tried the open and liked it a lot. It's a mild smoke though...

I really bag an proper cigars with M 4s and I tried an open about month or so ago. Really didn't work for me I'm afraid. Said at time perhaps just a bad stick. Went back to supplier and they were [emoji106] with a discounted second Montecristo 2

...They're probably drinking whiskey and smoking big cigars...

Had a open junior, luckily it had a v good free draw and it smoked lovely with a coffee... Real montecristo Cuban smoke and taste off the little blighter. Was easy and mild...

I tried an Open Junior which was plugged. Vendor replaced it but I didn't think much of it. Pleasant but far too mild for my tastes.

Not sure i am a fan of these. Not quite as spicy as the other montecristo lines... Tastes like tea (In my opinion)
