ok I received a couple of 10 boxes of romeo y juliet no 2's now how long should I leave them in the humidor before smoking them. I have had 2 but they were really harsh the box says july 2015 on it so I don't know if that helps

Still too young to smoke in my opinion newbie want to leave them in your humidor minium 6 months
the longer you leave them to rest the better they become all round
try and buy boxes that are a bit older if possible.

they were a gift and these are my first boxes ever, but thanks for the input ill look out for that next time like should i look for a box that has been 2 years. I was quite disappointed because i have only ever bought singles before and there is quite a difference between my current box and no 2's I have had before

You can do it 2 ways buy young say 2015 and age them yourself while your smoking older sticks
or buy older boxes say 2014 to smoke now.
That's the way I would go about it myself other members might do things differently.

Unfortunately it's a fairly common issue.. cigars under a year old often undergo a secondary fermentation period (commonly known as the 'sick period), a build up of ammonia causes the cigars to taste bitter and harsh. Time and patience is the only cure I'm afraid..
As already mentioned, put them aside and revisit in 6 months (you'll be glad you did).

ah thats no problem as long as I know what it is and what to do. back to getting singles for a while now then
