In 1881, James Fox opened up a tobacco shop on Grafton Street in Dublin. Over a century later, it remains in its original location and is still owned by the Fox family. | Cigar Aficionado

Worth every penny if I won the lottery, next to the Melanio V one but not the RA 225 rip off

Its very nice Krist and does look very high craftsmanship but I don't think it will be as collectable. Still a sound investment and I would get one if I could to put away

Im split on items like this. I kinda like how plain it looks initially, minus the garish writing. I like the inlay on the corner and feel it shows theres some craftsmanship there.

However I just think the price is high, i get that its limited and collectable and will likely appreciate.... However i just think of the piece you could commision froma craftsman with that money. True you wouldnt get the cigars in at that price too but you woud get a humi that would make this look like a tea caddy made by a GCSE woodwork student.

Whilst I agree you could get a better made, commissioned piece for less money it doesn't have the historic association and will never be collectable in the same way. That doesn't really justify the price of course but there will be people willing to pay it, 'collectable' items rarely make sense beyond the very term.

It is a nice thing I might add.

I think it's ridiculous tbh , it only holds 50 cigars ,not really any use

Its not practical, but then these things never are, I don't think that's the point.

If I could afford it I would love to start a collection of these things

As beautiful as it looks.. I just can't help but think how many (dare I say better) cigars I could buy with that kind of money.
