Hey Everybody,
I just had a cigar at FF Jox and I am not sure what to expect, though I am left unsatisfied.
The culprit in question is a Rocky Patel Vintage 1990. From the first few puffs I was disappointed by the flavours, though that is nobodies fault. They actually got a bit better after the first centimeter, but then all of a sudden, the cigar went off. I am generally not a very slow smoker so it happens very rarely that a cigar goes off on me.
No problem, I lit it up again. Another centimeter in it went of again. Half way through the cigar I was at my 5th relight. At one point I could the the cigar was burning but there was zero smoke coming out of it, neither any flavours.
The second half was more relighting combined with a really really bad uneven burn. I basically smoked half an inch of the cigar, the rest was spend on lighting it up and touching it up.
On my way out I mentioned what happened, not really sure what to expect. I finished the cigar, so couldn't really ask for a refund. But all I got was a "I'm sorry to hear that sir." and I was send on my way. Would you have expected a refund or at least a mention that next time, should I experience such problems to come down to complain so they can do something about it? Or is that just the way it goes sometimes and we can't really expect the vendor to compensate you for a cigar that was unsmokable?
As I said, I am not sure what I would suspect from them, but I am still left unsatisfied with any meaningful response from them at all.
Your thoughts?
