Getting a few friends together for a few beers.

Any ideas on a good pub with either a beer garden or roof terrace in the West End?

No lounges or bars, the predominant theme is a pint in a pub!

ActUal west end, i cant think of any.... Having said that there must be one or two in mayfair/ st james.

if you sniff around knightsbridge there are pubs off some of the squares and mews streets which have some outdoor spaces.... Same down towards sloane sq and that neck of the woods.

head out to clapham, battersea etc and there are many.... Or as oskihen said grab the river taxi and head east. Wapping has three by the river, and i know two definitely have outdoor space... The captain Kid and i think the Prospect of Whitby. You are thenin striking distance of a few more on the river front in Poplar/ shad thames and on to canary wharf ( where there is a Boisdale) or back towards town you have st katherines dock with a bunch of bars, pubs, etc with outdoor seating and spaces.

I recently spent an hour herfing with a few pals outside The Two Brewers at Seven Dials. There's a few tables out front and heaters if you need them. Not sure how this wou do fit into a larger tour but definitively one to bear in mind if you find yourselves that way.

I've found the beer gardens are starting to open up, ideally you'll want somewhere with a heater. There's a few around central London where I work, I'm not an expert on the west end though, if you give me an idea which sort of tube stop you're aiming for I'll ask some of the lads at work.

Thanks, that might be just the ticket. Leaving the west end isn't really an option as we have just over an hour and need to move on to another venue.

Any other suggestions?

Anywhere around Bond Street, Green Park, Oxford Circus sort of area would be great.

The Stafford hotel, almost directly opposite JJ Fox on St. James's St, has a decent area outside its bar. Good heaters and partially covered. It's also well back from the street so no traffic noise etc. I know it's a hotel bar but it's still a bar.
I've always found it very comfortable.
