I normally buy some supermarket cigars specifically for the wife when she runs out of cigarettes. I did let her try something decent once only to see her puff away at it and then scrub it on a wall to put it out, I stood there horrified, never again. Now my humidor is always locked, I wouldn't even waste a Jose. L. Piedra on her, far too good, plus I enjoy them myself.
Common sense is not a gift, it's a punishment as you have to deal with everyone who doesn't have it!
I usually stock up on half corona size cigars to give out to non-smoking friends who like the occasional smoke. H Upmann half corona works really well and the taste is not too strong for people who do not smoke regularly.
Can't go wrong with JLP petite cazadores , decent smoke to enjoy yourself and cheap enough to share , and a nice sweet smoke for the uninitiated

Can definately vouch for this, tried a cazadores today and it tasted great. If you gave it someone who normally smokes cigs or supermarket cigars they would think they were smoking something top notch.
I gave a Upman corona junior tubo as a gift this Christmas, horrified to find he's lit it, took two draws and stuck it back in the tube lol. What a waste. Glad it wasn't anything larger but still annoyed lol
