Thanks again

I had been thinking about a selection of petit coronas. Was looking at the sampler on CGars (https://www.cgarsltd.co.uk/cgars-ltd...er-p-7120.html).

Best get saving!

Great thread, this. Have spent the last 45mins adding various sticks to my cgars basket, taking them out, adding more, moving them to my wishlist, back in the basket, thinking 'should I revisit what I've already smoked and liked, or try something new?'.

Some (my boss) might say I'm wasting time...I say it's a fascinating learning curve!

I think you are correct, TonyN. I'm trying to go for variety at the moment so getting to try as many different brands, sizes and tastes is key at this early stage.

Same here! Not quite as enjoyable as actually smoking them but all part of the experiences. Look forward to visiting a sampling lounge very soon.

Yeah, it certainly seems I've got eyes bigger than my wallet! I keep finding myself browsing the CGars website and trying to mentally prioritise the cigars which I'd like to buy to try.
I'd definitely agree that, for me at least, "collecting" cigars is almost as much of a pleasure as smoking them. My collection is modest and my small humidor keeps it that way. It will be sorely depleted after my wedding on Saturday but the silver lining is I'll get to fill it up again! It's definitely ready for this weekend though:

EarwaxUK Looking good - I'm yet to try anything from Punch. Am very tempted by the Boveda holders as the loose packs make my humidor look quite untidy.

Congratulations for your wedding and enjoy what should be a great day!

Thanks Horsebox
The holders work a treat - has made my humidor much tidier. I wanted the cedar one but I couldn't find it in stock anywhere at the time plus it adds more timber to the humidor which means more "wasted" humidity which the aluminium ones don't. Got mine from MySmokingShop - arrived in 24 hours, around ?10 each.

Fingers crossed we'll have a great day!

Thanks! If I get to the point in the day where I can enjoy one of those Punch Coronations, it'll have all gone fine!

I'm sure at some point Saturday you'll find time to enjoy that Cuban you have in mind.

Good thread. Much the same curve as many of you. Having enjoyed occasional cigars for quite a few years, things kick started about a year ago with a lovely RyJ Churchill from a friends humidor which I thoroughly enjoyed. The biggest problem I have discovered since is that young cubans don't taste nearly as good as those which have been in a humidor for a few years!

Common sense is not a gift, it's a punishment as you have to deal with everyone who doesn't have it!

Can definitely vouch for the VegaFina Tubos. Very nice indeed.
