Bolivar tubo number 3

I was away at the weekend and had the chance to smoke quite a few sticks including a Partagas Short, Arturo Fuente Short Story and a Bolivar tubo 3.

Enjoyed them all for different reasons and will be stocking up on all 3 again but the Boli 3 might be my go to stick for now. It balances what I'd consider a good traditional 'cigar' flavour (not a great description, I'll grant you, but I had taken quite a few ales so didn't get too analytical) along with being a good size.

Any suggestions to check out in future based on this one?

Boli 3 are good and the tubes are great for sticking in a pocket.

Hoyo de Monterey Coronations are another cheap & cheerful tubo

I've had my fair share of No.3's as well and thoroughly enjoyed them. You might also want to check out Punch Coronations, Trinidad Reyes, Por Larranaga Petit Coronas and Rafael Gonzalez Perlas (very underrated IMHO).

I like the Boli 3 .... but the No 2 is a different league and with a bit of time behind them every bit as good if not better than the PC. The idea that the blend is somehow inferior to that of the PC is to my mind 'wrong'. I also find them to be much smoother, though that in part might be due to the cylindrical shape ? which the boxed PC doesn't have, although the Cab 50s did.

[MENTION=609]tippexx[/MENTION] My next order will include a selection of Boli's as I'm keen to start exploring how a brand can change across the range. Am yet to try anything by Punch, and have read mixed reviews of PC's, though this is to be expected of anything.
