Had read various sources quoting optimum RH between 65-75, and also advice to go a couple of degrees higher to allow for potential loss through poor seals (mine's a budget 30ct humi), however my digital hygro shows no deviation from 72%, such is the wonder of boveda packs.

Was going to order 69% packs but now wondering if I should go lower.

Think you will be fine with 69%, but people like cigars how they like. I find over humidified cigars burn badly and taste bitter

The RYJ was a goner. Chopped 10mm off and there was still mould. A further 10mm and there was traces of green mould. So sadly it went in the bin and I'm quite upset about it...ah well off to buy another one. Thanks for the advice though. Learned more about cigars so that's the only positive in this.

That's a gutter, Tommy. I bought a couple of RYJ tubos in Italy earlier this year - first one was fine but he second covered in mould. Didn't have time to return it to the tobacconist nor did I realise it was possible to clean it off and smoke it. What a waste!

Gutting. Not all bad though as I've brought one of his brothers and will smoke him in honour of the fallen cigar
