  • Need help choosing a humidor.

I am new to cigar aficionado.

I looked online and prices go from fifty to to thousands of pounds for a humidor.
What should I look for in a humidor? Are Chinese ones any good? I found out that gentili makes nice humidors are there any other decent reliable brands?

    Any advice would be appreciated.

Should be able to find a decent 100 ct from ?60/100 as long as it's cedar and a good seal that'll do you fine , and save your money for cigars to put in [emoji106]

Plenty to choose from here in the uk, like oskihen said should find a decent 100 ct from ?60/?100 all depends how much you want to spend
at the end of the day.
Should you have a problem a lot easier sending it back to the uk than it would in china just my opinion on this.

          Need help choosing a humidor.

As already stated, it needs to be made of cedar and have a good seal so you have peace of mind that your cigars will be safe. In my opinion, the last thing you want to do is scrimp on buying a decent humidor only to put your expensive cigar collection at risk.

Good advice here, hopefully you will pick a nice one and let us know what you ended up with. Maybe you went with gentili.

Look at the alternatives too. A tupperdor is a easy and cheap solution. Obviously not as nice looking though.

Perhaps try one of the Cube style humidors that can be found in EBay. They should come from Germany, which slightly contrasts the advice above in terms of UK sources, but you will not likely have reason the send it back (fingers crossed)

Looking at Adorini Chianti medium. Tempting... Capacity 126 should be enough for a long time... If only it had a lock. I take it having visible hygrometer is a nice feature so you don`t need to open lid just to check humidity...

You're right about the hygrometer but why do you need a lock? Raccoon problem?

I found the best way was to get a smallsh desktop humidor for singles and your day to day sticks and set up a tupador or scubador for bulk storage . You be amazed how quickly you accumulate boxes.
